Summer calls for refreshing, light, and often citrusy cocktails — perfect for cooling down and enjoying sunny days. Here are five of the best summer cocktails:
Classic Mojito
Minty, fizzy, and incredibly refreshing, a Cuban staple that screams summer.
2 oz white rum
1 oz fresh lime juice
2 tsp sugar
Mint leaves
Soda water
Mint sprig and lime wedge garnish
Shake all ingredients over ice with the exception of the soda, strain into ice filled collins glass and garnish.
Aperol Spritz
Low ABV, bubbly, slightly bitter, and beautifully orange, a perfect day drink.
3 oz Prosecco
2 oz Aperol
1 oz soda water
Orange slice garnish
Fill wine glass with ice, pour Aperol into glass, top with Prosecco, soda water and garnish.
Watermelon Margarita
Sweet and juicy with a tart lime kick, tastes like summer in a glass.
2 oz tequila blanco
1 oz lime juice
3 oz fresh watermelon juice (blended + strained)
1/2 oz agave syrup
Salted rim and watermelon wedge garnish
Half rim glass with salt, shake all ingredients over ice, strain into glass and garnish.
Piña Colada
Creamy, tropical, and indulgent, ideal for beach vibes or pretending you're on vacation.
2 oz rum
1 oz coconut cream
1 oz pineapple juice
Splash of lime (optional)
Pineapple slice and cherry garnish
Blend all ingredients with ice and pour into tall glass and garnish.
Tom Collins
Light, citrusy, and effervescent, a timeless gin cooler.
2 oz gin
1 oz lemon juice
1/2 oz simple syrup
Soda water to top
Lemon wheel and cherry garnish
